This seems like a good time to finally get started on our blog. We are at White Oaks RV Resort in Monticello IN with the Fulltimers chapter of the FMCA winding up a pre-rally prior to the FMCA International Rally next week in Indianapolis. We have met some great people and made the start of some terrific friendships.
This was our first outing since joining this group so we did not have a real idea of what to expect. What a great time. Starting with an impromptu happy hour the first day, we were made to feel right at home, even though we are the new kids. Great food, games, camaraderie, (did I mention happy hours?) an evening cruise on the lake and even a little business kept us going the whole time.
The stay was not without its' moments as well. The first day here a sudden gust of wind (not even a hint in the forecast) took off our awning and hit the Satellite Dish. Thankfully no one hurt and the insurance company is terrific. We'll stick around here a few days and get it fixed, then on to Indy.
